FARO Gold Arm 8 - CAD Based Measurement Package
Inspection of complex shapes such as the cast steel road
arm from M777 is particularly demanding. Although a co-ordinate
measuring machine can be used, a far quicker and more accurate
route is to use the Gold Arm digitizer.
The unit shown has
a 2.4 metre diameter swing and an accuracy of plus +/- 50
micro meters. The unit can generate a CAD mesh or check against
the
CAD model. This is particularly useful in accurately measuring
extremely large components or reverse engineering complicated
shaped components. |
