HP Vessels

   Torpedo Systems      
 

For the Heavyweight Spearfish Torpedo system, we manufacture a fuel tank. This is a safety critical program with a high level of quality control and assurance with a strong project management team. The assembly is manufactured from high strength titanium forgings that are electron-beam welded shut complete with an integral rubber bag that provides the primary sealing of the fuel.

The picture right shows the main forging at an early mid-machining state. The diameter of the tube is approximately 500mm and the length is over 1200 mm.
 
   
   

 

   High Pressure Vessel      
 

We have specific expertise in the design and manufacture of high pressure gas systems. The capability extends to the machining of complex materials including titanium and stainless steels, high pressure gas charging in clean environments and pressure testing including proof pressure testing.

The unit shown on the right is a high pressure gas charging head for use in the field and repair workshops for the safe pressurising of high pressure gas vessels.
